Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)
Your Right to Opt Out
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information with third parties.
Wake Island Waterpark does not sell your personal information for direct monetary compensation. However, we do use advertising and analytics technologies — specifically from Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads, YouTube) and Meta (Facebook Pixel / Instagram) — that may share your data with those third parties for the purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising (targeted ads you may see on other websites or platforms). Under the CPRA, this type of data sharing may qualify as "sharing" personal information and entitles you to opt out.
What We Share and With Whom
The following categories of personal information may be shared with third-party advertising and analytics partners when you use our website:
- Identifiers (such as cookie IDs, device IDs, and IP address)
- Internet or other electronic network activity (such as browsing behavior on our website)
- Geolocation data (approximate location based on IP address)
These third parties include:
- Google – Google Analytics, Google Ads, YouTube (for advertising, analytics, and video)
- Meta Platforms, Inc. – Meta Pixel (for advertising through Facebook and Instagram)
We may also use other third-party tools from time to time. Our full list of current service providers is described in our Privacy Policy.
How to Opt Out
You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information through any of the following methods:
Option 1 – Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit our website, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner that allows you to decline non-essential cookies, including advertising and analytics trackers. Selecting "Decline" or "Do Not Sell or Share" will prevent those third-party trackers from being activated during your session.
Option 2 – Global Privacy Control (GPC)
If your browser or browser extension is configured to send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, Wake Island Waterpark will honor that signal as an opt-out request for the sale and sharing of your personal information. You can learn more about GPC at globalprivacycontrol.org.
Option 3 – Contact Us Directly
You may also submit an opt-out request directly to us. We will process your request and take steps to stop sharing your personal information with third-party advertising partners within 15 business days of a verifiable request.
Submit your request by Contacting Us.
Option 4 – Third-Party Opt-Out Tools
You can also opt out directly from specific advertising networks:
- Google Ads Settings: adssettings.google.com
- Google Analytics Opt-Out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- Meta Ad Preferences: facebook.com/ads/preferences
- Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) Opt-Out: optout.networkadvertising.org
- Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) Opt-Out: optout.aboutads.info
What Happens After You Opt Out
Once you opt out:
- We will stop sharing your personal information with third-party advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes
- You may still see generic (non-targeted) advertisements
- Your ability to use our website and purchase tickets will not be affected
- We will not discriminate against you or charge different prices because you exercised this right
Please note that opting out applies to future data sharing. We cannot retroactively retrieve data that has already been shared with third parties prior to your opt-out request.
Your opt-out preference is tied to the browser/device you use. If you clear your cookies, use a different browser, or use a different device, you may need to opt out again.
Authorized Agents
California residents may designate an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on their behalf. To do so, the authorized agent must provide written authorization signed by the consumer, and we may verify the consumer's identity directly.
Note for Visitors Under Age 16
We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. We do not use our website to collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.
